Love Some Tea’s ‘Grateful Teas’ Are Inspired by the Iconic Band, Grateful Dead

Love Some Tea – a leading tea brand and importer of rare, plantation-free teas from Thailand – announced the release of its Grateful Tea Collection, inspired by the music, values and lifestyle of the iconic band the Grateful Dead. The brand's six flavors are now available for $20 per canister.

Love Some Tea, the Grateful Dead and Warner Music Artist Services/Rhino Records worked in conjunction to deliver the high-quality teas that reflect the band's love for delicious tea and passion around global environmental conservation.

"Being Grateful Dead fans and obsessed with ethically farmed and delicious teas, we are thrilled to share our exclusive collection with the world," said Scott Fernandez, CEO of Love Some Tea.

Grown in the wild sloping mountains of Northern Thailand, Grateful Tea from Love Some Tea is fertilizer, herbicide and chemical free. Each tea leaf is picked by hand by Hill Tribe Farmers and shipped to customers in sustainable packaging that features recycled paper and environmentally friendly inks.

"We live and breathe the environment, just as the Grateful Dead have since they first hit the stage in 1965,” said Fernandez. “Our commitment to ethically grown and farmed tea leaves and sustainable packaging made the union between Love Some Tea and the Grateful Dead a perfect match for sharing delicious, healthful teas with those who will appreciate them most.”

The "plantation free" method of growing and harvesting Grateful Teas, according to Love Some Tea, is to sees to it that no land is cleared for planting, and machinery is never used to harvest. The company said the work is all done by hand with their friends and partners, the Hill Tribes of Northern Thailand.

"We're certain that our sustainable farming and harvesting methods make tea healthier and more delicious for everyone who drinks them,” said Fernandez. “It's literally as pure and ruggedly natural as can be, which is why our tea leaves are both potent in flavor and effect."

The Grateful Tea Collection features six flavors:

Cosmic Coconut –
a black tea with aromatic coconut notes.

Passionate Prophet – green tea with a passion fruit infusion.

Workingman's Blend – an everyman's, rich black tea with a zing.

Tropical Weather – a refreshing green and black blend for adventurers at heart.

Ramblin' Apple – an apple tea with a hint of peach.

Minty-O – a calming tea that tastes like freshly picked mint leaves.

"Our flavors harken back to fun times before Grateful Dead shows, where open-minded people joined together and celebrated the marvel of living,” said Fernandez. “It was all about loving kindness, and our teas strive to provide the comfort and positive energy everyone craves while listening to the sweet songs that rock their souls.”
