New Mexico Tea Company owner David Edwards has recently expanded his business by introducing The Green Room. This space, located at 317 Gold Ave. SW, will hold an art gallery, as well as the location for the company’s tea tastings. Meeting space will be offered and possibly a meditation room in the mornings. It is a first move for the company into Downtown Albuquerque after eight years in operation.
Edwards knew that they had outgrown their original space on Mountain Road. When the shop was busy during the day, events were impossible to hold. The schedule was not much better after hours. It took a year to find the right new location. Tastings are already being booked online in the new shop.
To encourage the independent identity of the space, owner David Edwards launched a logo contest. More than 450 entries were submitted for a design to message the unique personality of The Green Room. The list has been narrowed to three logos. Individuals who wish to vote can cast their vote for one of the top three designs.
