World Tea Expo's Tea Bar Will Offer a Variety of Teas

The Tea Bar returns to World Tea Expo, and it will showcase the latest teas, cocktails, RTDs, and innovations that are shaping the future of the tea industry.

Attendees will be able to discover and sample today’s most popular types of tea beverages, plus network with new suppliers, distributors, and other attendees to learn which products are in hottest demand.

A variety of complimentary tea samples will be offered in the Tea Bar during Expo Hall hours, including a variety of Myanmar teas:

​​​​​Golden Angels, Produced by PKK

This black tea comes from the Pyin Oo Lwin region of Myanmar. The leaf is curvy and aromatic with beautiful layers of black and gold. The flavor is floral and sweet with honey notes and a smooth, mild finish. The tea has a gold and red texture in the cup. 

Myanmar Green Tea, Produced by Mother’s Love

This green tea is produced from over 100-year-old tea trees in a mountainous village of the Tangyan region of Myanmar. The tea is grown in harmony with nature, without using any pesticides, fertilizer, or irrigation systems. The leaves are aromatic with attractive style, and in the cup, the tea appears pale yellow with great clarity. Its flavor includes sweet cereal notes, and it is smooth and buttery with a very long, enjoyable finish.  

Ruanzhi Oolong, Produced by Tea Art Co., Ltd 

This oolong tea comes from Tah Moe Hnye in the Northern Shan State of Myanmar. The leaves are vibrant, tightly rolled balls, and the tea has a golden yellow texture in the cup. The taste is floral, fresh, and sweet with a buttery and smooth long finish.

Creamy & Iced Oolong

Ingredients:

7-8 heaping tsp. Sticky Rice Oolong

4 tbs. milk

Ice cubes

Directions:

Brew the Sticky Rice Oolong tea and with 4-5 cups of 176°F warm water and let it steep for 2-3 minutes. Then let it cool down completely in the fridge. Fill 4 glasses halfway with ice cubes, pour in the tea and add 1 tbs. of milk per glass.

Coconut/Lavender Creamy

Ingredients:

10 heaping tsp. Coconut/Lavender blend

1 pineapple

1 cup of coconut cream

Ice cubes

Directions:

Brew the Coconut/Lavender blend with 4-5 cups of boiling water and let steep for at least 15 minutes. Let the tea cool down completely. Cut the pineapple into triangular pieces, keeping some of the leaves as decoration. Pour the cold tea, ice cubes and 1 cup of coconut cream into a blender and blend on the highest setting until you get a nice froth. Pour into glasses and decorate with pineapple pieces and leaves or lavender to underline the delicate flowery note of this delicious cocktail.

Mango n' Friends Iced Tea

Ingredients:

8 heaping tsp. Mango n‘ Friends blend

1 mango

1 orange

1 oz. fresh ginger

Handful of fresh mint

Ice cubes or crushed ice

Directions:

Grate the ginger and brew it together with the Mango n‘ Friends tea blend in 5 cups of boiling water for at least 20 minutes. Fill a large pitcher with ice cubes and pour in the tea, let it cool down completely. Juice an orange and add the juice to the tea. Cut the mango into pieces and also add those to the iced tea. Decorate with some mint leaves and enjoy this ice cold, fruity fresh indulgence!

 

2024 World Tea Expo Beverage Challenge Teas

Attendees will also have the chance to sample winning teas from the 2024 World Tea Expo Beverage Challenge, including the Grand Champion, Best Leaf, and Best Liquor on Wednesday, March 20 from 1pm-3pm.
