We're highlighting exhibitors as we get closer to the 2026 World Tea Expo, returning to the Las Vegas Convention Center March 23-25.
This week, we spoke with Shanghai LongDing FengYun Tea Co., Ltd., formerly Yunnan Dayou Xiwang Agricultural Development Co., Ltd., which is an integrated tea enterprise specializing in tea culture, tea cultivation, research, processing, and sales of teas harvested from ancient tea trees.
Tell us more about your company.
LongDing FengYun is a premium Chinese tea brand dedicated to ancient tea trees and high-mountain terroirs.
We return to the essence of tea — land, tree age, and time. Our teas are carefully sourced from ancient tea trees over 300-500 years old and from high-altitude tea gardens at elevations of 1,300–2,700 meters where vegetation coverage reaches 98% of the forest in Xishuangbanna, Yunnan, one of China’s most respected tea regions. Harvesting is limited, seasonal, and guided by traditional craftsmanship.
We believe exceptional tea is not manufactured, but cultivated by time. Each leaf carries the character of mist, forest, soil, and years of natural growth.
“LongDing” represents the summit where natural energy gathers. “FengYun” reflects transformation shaped by time and nature.
LongDing FengYun brings the depth, purity, and cultural heritage of Chinese tea to the global stage.
With modern production facilities, comprehensive quality control systems, and close collaboration with leading research institutes and universities in China, the company continues to innovate and elevate its products. Its flagship brand, LongDing FengYun, along with several registered tea brands, offers a diverse range of ancient tree Pu-erh, green, black, and white teas, serving both domestic and international markets.
Committed to global tea exchange, Shanghai LongDing FengYun Tea Co., Ltd. actively participates in international tea exhibitions and cultural initiatives, sharing the excellence and heritage of Chinese teas from century old tea trees with tea lovers worldwide.
Why are you exhibiting at the World Tea Expo?
We participate in the World Tea Expo to connect with tea professionals from around the world and to promote high-quality Chinese ancient tree teas and tea culture on an international stage. This global platform allows us to engage in meaningful exchanges with industry peers, gain insight into market trends, and share our tea-making expertise. Our goal is to bring healthy, rich, and authentic ancient tree teas to tea lovers worldwide and to contribute to the sustainable growth of the global tea industry.
This is our second time exhibiting at Tea Expo in Las Vegas. Last year, we were honored to receive a Superior Winner award for raw Pu-er Tea at the Tea Expo, which further strengthened our confidence and commitment to sharing Chinese tea with the world.
What do you hope to gain from the Expo?
Through the 2026 Tea Expo, we aim to achieve three core objectives. First, to broaden our international perspective by gaining insight into global market trends and evolving consumer preferences.
Second, to build strong business connections and establish partnerships with international buyers, distributors, and industry peers.
Third, to promote our brand and share the richness and diversity of Chinese tea culture, allowing the world to experience its depth and heritage, and ultimately supporting the continued expansion of Chinese tea on the global stage.
What products/services will you be showing at the Expo?
At this Tea Expo, we will showcase our core LongDing FengYun ancient tree tea product lines, including LongDing FengYun Green Tea, LongDing FengYun Single Bud White Tea, LongDing FengYun Raw Pu-erh, LongDing FengYun Red Tea, and our health-focused Mulberry Tea.
In addition, we will host on-site tea brewing and tasting demonstrations, introducing visitors to the unique flavors, brewing methods, and cultural heritage of each tea variety, allowing tea enthusiasts to experience the richness and diversity of real Chinese ancient tree teas.
What challenges do you see members of the tea industry facing in 2026, and how can your products/services help them overcome these obstacles?
We anticipate that the tea industry in 2026 will face three major challenges:
1. Climate change, which may affect tea yield and quality;
2. Increasing consumer demand for sustainability and supply chain transparency;
3. Intensifying global market competition and product homogeneity.
To help tea professionals overcome these challenges, our products and services provide the following support:
- Smart Agriculture Solutions: Delivering precise cultivation data and management tools to help tea gardens adapt to climate fluctuations and maintain stable tea quality.
- Blockchain Traceability System: Ensuring end-to-end traceability from the tea garden to the cup, enhancing transparency and consumer trust.
- Customized Branding and Channel Services: Combining cultural empowerment with digital marketing to help tea companies build differentiated brands and expand into new domestic and international markets.
What trends are you seeing in the tea industry?
In the tea industry, we have observed three major trends:
1. Health and Functional Benefits: Consumers are increasingly focused on the health properties of tea, with growing demand for products rich in natural active ingredients (such as γ-aminobutyric acid) and teas that offer specific functions like sleep support and relaxation.
2. Convenience and Experiential Innovation: High-quality cold brew teas, tea bags, and modern tea beverages are becoming more popular, while immersive experiences such as “tea around the stove” — combining social interaction with traditional brewing — are gaining market traction and providing new ways to engage with tea culture.
3. Digitalization and Sustainability: Technologies from smart cultivation to blockchain traceability are improving industry efficiency and transparency. Sustainable practices, including eco-friendly packaging, organic certification, and fair trade, have become key brand values, widely recognized by consumers and the market.
