GolinHarris, a large public relations firm operating for more than 50 years, will be taking over the PR functions of Unilever’s Lipton account from Zeno Group, as PR Week reports.
Zeno managed the Lipton account for two years after Ogilvy Public Relations was replaced.
Lipton’s new “Drink Positive” campaign began at the beginning of the summer. Pushed with a nation-wide advertising campaign, the “Drink Positive” initiative urges consumers to drink tea to spur happiness and healthiness. The campaign relies heavily on consumer engagement, with a large focus on Instagram photos and online blogs. These efforts were handled by Zeno.
In July, Lipton took the role of the official iced-tea brand of Major League Baseball.
Unilever just recently reported a 5% sales increase, after the second quarter of 2013. Unilever credits much of its recent spike in sales to the new Lipton Yellow Label Tea, which is especially popular in the Middle East. Unilever also owns and operates the Ben & Jerry's ice cream brand and Dove skincare products, among many others.
