Teatulia Set to Help Alleviate Poverty

PrintDenver-based tea company, Teatulia, has chosen to become a partner of the Microloan A Month Fund®, a program launched as part of Whole Planet Foundation®’ s efforts to alleviate global poverty. The program funds financial assistance to poor entrepreneurs around the globe to help them create or expand a home-based business and lift themselves out of poverty. This partnership will run May 2013 to May 2014. “Each month, one more individual in the developing world will have a chance to lift themselves out of poverty through microcredit, thanks to Teatulia’s support,” said Philip Sansone, President and Executive Director for Whole Planet Foundation.  “We’re grateful for their support and commitment to our cause.” Through the Microloan A Month Fund program, Teatulia will fund a monthly donation of $166 to Whole Planet Foundation, the average amount of a foundation-supported borrower’s first microloan in the developing world. “We are proud to have partnered up with such a worthy organization,” says said Teatulia CEO and Co-founder, Linda Lipsius. “Every business deserves a chance to succeed and we want to give hope to those entrepreneurs who wouldn’t ordinarily have a chance.” Teatulia’s aim is to show their support for the growing global entrepreneurship movement while inspiring other businesses to do the same.  Through the Microloan A Month Fund, Teatulia will provide much-needed financial assistance to individuals all over the world who are often overlooked by traditional lending institutions.
