Shane Talbott whose company was acquired by Jamba Juice following an episode on ABC’s Shark Tank returns Friday to explain how they brokered the deal.
Shark Tank airs at 8 p.m. ET and 7 p.m. CT on ABC-TV.
Shark Tank "Sharks", Kevin O'Leary and Daymond John, join entrepreneurs from Talbott Teas and Jamba CEO James D. White, to share the story behind how they brokered one of the most successful deals on the show's history and made the founders of Talbott Teas rich.
Talbott and life partner Steve Narkisher established Talbott Teas in 2003, a specialty tea company featuring whole leaf Fair Trade Certified teas in 23 sophisticated blends. The tea was selected as one of Oprah’s “Favorite Things” in 2010.
Jamba Juice acquired Talbott in February 2012.
In announcing the sale Jamba Juice Chairman and CEO James D. White said "the purchase of Talbott Teas is part of Jamba’s strategy to accelerate growth through the acquisition of specialty, lifestyle brands that support Jamba’s expansion into new and relevant product categories."
Transaction details were not disclosed but Wall Street boosted the Emeryville-Calif.-base firm’s share price (JMBA) following the deal.
