In just three years, Tea Gallerie, once a local Mom and Pop, has blossomed into an extravagant Tea Lounge and part-time yoga studio as local residents crave more from what the shop has to offer.
The official grand opening of the lounge early this summer yielded almost 300 attendees, making it a shoulder to shoulder tea party as locally made chocolate and locally baked pastries were devoured by all who attended. Originally opened in 2010, Tea Gallerie, hosts 200+ organic loose leaf teas and a vast selection of teaware. This summer, Tea Gallerie won the title “Best Tea House in San Diego 2013” by the San Diego A-List.
When Tea Gallerie’s doors in Kearny Mesa aren’t open, owners John and Maria, a husband and wife duo, are still hanging around town with locals as they deliver their health-driven knowledge and product at all the major farmers markets in San Diego.
They also dedicate much of their time to planning and organizing Tea Gallerie’s next big event, ranging from Reiki Energy Healing workshops to Organic Chocolate and Tea Pairings. In the early mornings and afternoons, Tea Gallerie’s lounge is transformed into a full-fledged yoga studio, offering an array of classes to its students throughout the week.
With foot traffic having increased steadily, Tea Gallerie is not a business to be overlooked as it climbs through the ranks of the hustle and bustle of a coffee dominated industry.
