Specialty tea company The Republic of Tea this month celebrates its 25th anniversary with the launch of a new, celebratory blend, Ginger Peach Chocolate Truffle Black Tea.
The family-owned business, which focuses on natural and healthy premium teas and herbs, has grown from its initial 21 teas to now offering more than 300 loose teas, teabags, and pouches. It also sells a range of sipware: mugs, travel cups, carafes, teapots, kettles, accessories, and more.
“Since our inception, we have always been about enriching people’s lives through premium teas, education and innovation,” says Todd B. Rubin, minister of evolution and president of The Republic of Tea. “To do that, we have progressed and evolved as a company, innovating an impressive collection of quality and delicious teas for our Citizens. We look forward to the next 25 years as we continue our pursuit of delivering award-winning teas and herbs, and instilling a Sip by Sip Rather Than Gulp by Gulp lifestyle for all of our Citizens.”
In keeping with its identity as an independent republic, the company calls its customers “Citizens,” its retail outlets “Embassies,” its sales reps “Ambassadors,” and its employees “Ministers.”
The Republic of Tea claims the introduction to the U.S. of a variety of pioneering teas, including Yerba Maté and Rooibos, and its own organic SuperGreen Teas, HiCAF® Teas, Sonoma Teas, Downton Abbey™ Teas, Biodynamic® Teas, Cuppa Cake® Teas, organic SuperHerb® Teas, and U-Matcha™ teas.
It plans to introduce several new flavors for its anniversary year in addition to the new Ginger Peach Chocolate Truffle Black Tea.
