Pressurized Infuser Takes InterBev Prize

The nitrogen-pressured infuser stores a concentrated tea inside the bottle cap that is released with a twist. The innovation keeps preservative-free ingredients, such as brewed tea, away from UV rays, oxidation and other damaging conditions. It releases its contents at 90 psi to self-mix, creating a color change and a visual confirmation that the drink is fresh and ready to consume.

Tea of a Kind was also nominated for the Best Bottling Innovation, Best Packaging Innovation, and Best Social Media Campaign categories.

"We introduced a revolutionary pressurized closure, built a company, and launched a ready-to-drink tea all in a little over a year, so it is an immense honor to be recognized for the innovation by peers and analysts who know this space and understand quality," said Walter Apodaca, president of Gizmo Beverages, Tea of a Kind's parent company.

The InterBev Awards (a subsidiary of FoodBev media), attracted more than170+ entries from 15 countries. American Beverage Association president & CEO Susan K. Neely said of this year's competition: "One word sums up InterBev 2012 – innovation."

Available in Peach Ginger Black Tea, Citrus Mint Green Tea, and Pomegranate Acai White Tea, Tea of a Kind is 100% natural, contains only 20 calories per 16 ounce bottle, and is loaded with antioxidants. To find a location near you or buy online, visit teaofakind.com.
