Winners Tasting Circle, World Tea Expo 2016
Don’t miss the Winners Tasting Circle on the World Tea Expo show floor. It showcases winning Global Tea Championship entries from the previous year. The Global Tea Championship (GTC) is an independent tea tasting competition in which tea experts taste dozens of teas to determine the best commercially available teas in terms of quality and taste.
During World Tea Expo, a People’s Tea Choice Award will be awarded to teas in several categories (listed below). Winners are chosen by the exhibitors and attendees of the World Tea Expo and the Global Tea Championship. Any tea company that has received a written invitation from the Global Tea Championship and has won a GTC event during the prior year is eligible to participate in the tasting circle.
Judging is open to anyone who has a World Tea Expo pass. One voting chip will be given to each person for each category. Everyone will have the chance to taste each tea and vote by placing their chips in the designated voting boxes. Majority votes determine the winning teas.

The winners will not be announced until after World Tea Expo ends. Winning tea purveyors will receive formal announcements along with a digital, print ready seal logo that they can use for promotional purposes. The annual buyer’s guide, which will be published in October, will feature the winners.
