The World Tea Expo played host to the People’s Tea Choice Awards for the teas that won top recognition in their categories at the Global Tea Championship during the previous 12 months.
The Global Tea Championship is an independent tasting competition during which tea industry experts tasted and voted on the quality, taste and appearance of nearly 1,000 commercially sold teas from around the world.
Expo attendees tasted and voted on leading teas in the following eight categories at the Winners Tasting Circle: ready to drink, hot black tea, hot green tea, hot dark/pu-erh, hot herbal, foodservice iced tea, and single-serve hot tea. The results are below and represent the best of the best, according to majority vote.
