LAS VEGAS, Nev.
Thirteen new Iced Tea Class categories were created for this year’s prestigious North American Tea Championship. Entries will be accepted beginning Apr. 1 in a new online format.
Also new is the addition of judge Phil Lempert, expert analyst on consumer behavior, new products and the changing retail landscape. Lempert is the renowned Supermarket Guru.
NATC is produced by World Tea Media, a division of F+W Media. The annual Championship consists of two classes: Hot Tea and Iced Tea. Each class has its own categories and judging panel. The Hot Tea Class is evaluated twice a year: February for fall teas and July for spring teas.
The Iced Tea Class is evaluated annually in May. The 2012 Iced Tea Class will be evaluated at the Wilbur Curtis headquarters in Montebello, Calif.
New Categories include:
- Nine (9) Instant - Mix and Concentrate Iced Teas
- Four (4) New Bag-in-Box (BIB) Teas

- May 10, 2012 Evaluation
