Hours of lectures, exercises and a one-day world tasting tour tested their stamina but revved up the enthusiasm of tea industry entrepreneurs who graduated Thursday from this year's New Business Boot Camp at World Tea Expo.
This year's NBBC graduated 97 tea entrepreneurs who had traveled from as far as Australia, Europe, South America, Mexico, all the western states and Canada to take part in the two-day education program.
"Thisyear's class of attendees was as enthusiastic as ever," says organizer George Jage "We had 100 people register for boot camp and another 40 who signed up for the origin tasting tour."
"This is truly a golden time to start a tea businesss and I am very excited to see these passionate entrepreneurs fulfill their deams," he says.
