In the wake of new marijuana legalization measures, California-based cannabis drinks company House of Jane is celebrating wider distribution options with a new product line of hemp-derived, CBD-infused B-12 energy capsules, energy shots, and bottled beverages. These add to its existing line of Jane’s Brew cannabidiol (CBD)-infused teas, coffees, chocolate, and powders. The energy supplements are targeted toward “active individuals who put performance, wellness and quality-of-life first. The products are all-vegan, gluten-free, non-GMO, low-glycemic, fast-acting and help promote a feeling of overall wellbeing in minutes,” said House of Jane CEO Ben Sheppard in a press release.

Initially, the company will introduce the energy capsule and a time-released B-12 caffeinated energy shot. These products infuse the active ingredient CBD with other healthy, low-glycemic vitamins, natural herbs, and slow-release caffeine. New distribution deals will make these the first products of their kind available in dispensaries and mainstream retailers nationwide. In November’s general election, voters in four U.S. states approved marijuana legalization measures (California, Nevada, Maine, and Massachusetts) and four states legalized medical marijuana (Florida, Arkansas, Montana, and North Dakota). As a result, cannabis is now legal for adults 21 and over in eight U.S. states and the District of Columbia, and more than half of all states (28 in total) allow cannabis for medical use.
