Holiday Tea Lights Up Social Media

Tea companies, wholesalers, shops and customers are showing their holiday spirit on social media by sharing their favorite seasonal teas. From France to California, the upcoming season of festivities is inspiring a variety of holiday teas full of special spices. Here are a few flavors of the season trending on social media.

Straight Out of Scotland

Wee Tea Co., a wholesale tea shop in Dunfermline, Scotland, is promoting its online Christmas shop on Twitter, starting with its Highland Christmas Chai, which has Scottish-grown black tea from the Dalreoch Tea Garden, mixed with cinnamon, cloves, star anise and orange peel.

Noir Noel

Dissay, France-based Compagnie Coloniale endorses the indulgence of its Thé de Noël, "Christmas Tea" with its playful Instagram post that says, "No need to present it: our Christmas Tea is back. In a metal box or Christmas ball, it will enchant your end-of-year parties! To be enjoyed without moderation." Its Christmas tea is a blend of black tea, almonds and cherries.

Les Fruits

Paris in a Cup Tea Salon & Cafe in Old Towne Orange, California, offers a Christmas tea that features loose leaf black tea by Paris, France-based tea purveyor Betjeman & Barton. The tea is blended with caramel, cherry, pineapple and sweet orange. "Oh, I bet this smells and tastes heavenly!" said Instagram poster fphbakery.

Spices of Ayurveda

YogiTea brings back its Ayurvedic Christmas tea blend of rooibos, cinnamon, star anise, orange, vanilla and cloves. A few of the ingredients came from Madagascar.

Winter Traditions

Bigelow's Winter holiday teas, Peppermint Bark and Eggnogg'n were posted on Instagram by an enthusiastic customer who enjoys drinking them at work.
