Pure Leaf Iced Tea
'Chopped' Host Ted Allen
The Pepsi Lipton Tea Partnership’s Pure Leaf™ Iced Tea will launch a new 'Perfect Pairings' campaign with Ted Allen, host of Food Network's Chopped, a cooking show pitting four chefs against each other to concoct appealing dishes from oddball ingredients. The aim of this new partnership is to educate people on matching meals and beverages harmoniously. As part of the campaign, Pure Leaf has also announced its new product line of RTD (ready-to-drink) iced teas, with a fitting title of Not Too Sweet tea. These innovative teas come in two new flavors- Not Too Sweet Honey Green Tea and Not Too Sweet Peach Tea. "We're excited to work with Ted Allen to help find Pure Leaf pairings for any dish or occasion and to introduce our fans to the new Not Too Sweet flavors," says Eric Allen, Senior Brand Manager, Pure Leaf. "The brand shares Ted Allen's culinary passion and love of entertaining which makes him the perfect partner for this campaign." To complement the new line of Not Too Sweet Tea, Allen will introduce new minute-long clips of Chopped inspired competitions that will air on television. In the clips, four chefs will battle to make meals using unusual ingredients. However, all of the meals must perfectly pair with Pure Leaf Iced Teas. These clips will also be available online. "With a fresh-brewed taste and many flavors to choose from, Pure Leaf is so easy to pair as a beverage accompaniment or even as an ingredient," Allen says. "I'm looking forward to hitting the road with Pure Leaf to share some unique and delicious pairing tips." This partnership will serve to inspire consumers to experiment with their meals to find their own “perfect pairings”. Find more information about Perfect Pairings.
