GREENFIELD, Wis.
Appleton Wis.-based Fava Tea Company has opened a second location near Milwaukee in the Greenfield Place Shopping Center.
The 2,500 sq. ft. store employs seven part-time staff.
Founded in 2007, Fava Tea Company sells 300 selections of premium grade whole leaf tea, teaware, tea utensils and condiments such as flavored rock sugar. Many of the whole leaf and sachet teas are USDA and Fair Trade USA certified including a large selection of Rishi Teas. Whole leaf teas are hand-packaged at the time of purchase in quantities from a 1-oz. sample size. Sachets are sold in groups of nine.
In announcing the opening, owners Melissa and Bryan Stafford say the company's retail focus is "providing an experience of teas for each guest’s diverse taste or drinking style without high pressure sales or extravagant costs and add-ons — great quality and tasting tea shouldn’t break the bank."
Bryan says "the core of Fava Tea can be described as modern and fun with a deep sense of exploration and self-expression."
