Russell Crowe just launched a line of bagged tea in collaboration with Yorkshire Tea, reports Cetus News. The actor and musician recently gave boxes of Crowe’s Tea to fans at performances during his U.K. tour with his band, Indoor Garden Party. The tea will be in supermarkets soon.  

Spar Austria Introduces New Iced Teas

Headquartered in Salzburg, Austria, Spar Austria launched a new iced tea collection that contains three flavors: Barley Grass Spearmint, Rooibos & Herbs, and Turmeric Ginger, reports  European Supermarket Magazine. The supermarket’s private label tea is produced in northern Austria with organic, fair trade ingredients and very little sugar. The tea has 5.5 grams of sugar per 100 milliliters and is sold in 330-milliliter glass bottles. The teas are sold in Spar, Eurospar and Interspar stores.  

British Couple’s New Chai Blend Wins Award

Alex and Rupesh Thomas formulated ready-to-drink Tuk Tuk Chai, which is a blend of black tea, spices, milk and sugar. They became inspired to create their own chai blend after they traveled to India together and then noticed a void in the Western tea market, reports the Wimbledon Guardian. They devoted two years to creating their Indian Chai, which won the most innovative product award at the Lunch 2017! trade show. Tuk Tuk Chai comes in three flavors: Aromatic Cardamom, Intense Ginger and Fiery Masala. Tuk Tuk Chai is distributed to Harvey Nichols stores.  

Tetley Has Limited Edition Anniversary Packaging

Tetley celebrates its 180-year anniversary with limited-edition packaging that debuted in stores this month, reports Packaging Europe. The design uses matt varnishes highlighted with metallic inks and gloss on metal tea boxes. The tin is collectible, reusable and recyclable.
