Singapore-based TWG Tea is continuing its international expansion into the high-end retail market, this time in the U.K.

Last week, TWG announced it had sealed a deal with English department store Harrods, which will sell more than 30 of the Southeast Asian tea company's products in stores and on its Web site.

In announcing the deal, Harrods' Business Unit Director for Food Matthias Kiehm noted that the company's founder, Charles Henry, was a tea merchant and that the company has always shown "passion and expertise" in the tea market.

In addition to the new TWG Tea products and several private-label lines, Harrods' tea and coffee selection includes products from Caffe Florian and Choi Time.

It was this time last year that TWG made news with its first big distribution deal in the U.S., with Dean & DeLuca.
