| Bigelow Makes Top Grocery Women List |

by WTN Staff Cindi Bigelow has made Progressive Grocer magazine's list of top female executives. Bigelow, president of family-owned Bigelow Tea in Fairfield, Conn., was one of the magazine's 100 Top Women in Grocery for 2009. This marks the third year that the publication has honored what it deems the leading women in the supermarket business. In acknowledging her inclusion in the list, Bigelow said she was "both honored and humbled to be listed alongside such high-caliber women." A company statement about the award emphasized Bigelow's commitment to sustainability "in tea production, with people, through environmental initiatives and efforts to preserve the planet."
