In recent survey by online travel services provider TripAdvisor, tea topped the list of items that the British miss the most when they travel abroad.

Thirty-six percent of those surveyed said they pack tea bags when they travel; another 12 percent include the biscuits.

Tea was followed as a favored packing item by photos of loved ones (30 percent of respondents said they pack those), toilet paper (12 percent), teddy bears (8 percent), scented candles (6 percent) and bed linens (3 percent).

Luke Fredberg, a spokesperson for TripAdvisor, noted, "Bris' travel essentials extend way beyond a toothbrush and passport."

The survey, conducted this month, elicited responses from 567 members of TripAdvisor.co.uk.
