| Tetley
to produce best tea at lowest price |
 |
|
Mumbai: In India, the retail revolution is in its initial
phase. But in developed markets the issue is one of coping
with the growing size of these companies and the severe
competition amongst them. Peter Unsworth, Managing
Director (Supply & Support), The Tetley Group, spoke to
Business Line last month about how his company - a major
player in branded tea worldwide - tackles this challenge. He
also spoke of the growth opportunities for the Tata Tea-Tetley
combine and the price outlook for raw tea.

| Teas'
Tea - Golden Oolong and Green White
Reviews |
 |
|
I've discovered a new tea product and wanted to share my
thoughts. The drinks are from Teas' Tea and come in 16.9 fluid
ounce bottles. Golden Oolong and Green White are both pure
teas, all natural, unsweetened and they don't have any carbs
or calories. They're both full of natural tea antioxidants as
well. Most importantly they are full of delicious goodness
too. Both teas can be served hot or cold. I had both really
cold.

| India
Tea Industry Update |
 |
|
The Indian tea industry is in a consolidation phase. Most
branded tea players owning plantations have been looking at
divesting their plantation so as to focus on branding and
marketing. India continues to be the world's largest producer
and consumer of tea. Domestic production as well as exports
have been on a rise. However, due to stiff competition from
countries like Sri Lanka, Kenya, China, Bangladesh and
Indonesia, and issues of quality, realizations on Indian teas
have been witnessing a downward trend.

| Let's
drink to rising tea prices |
 |
|
BEIJING, July 1 -- Cao Rixiong, a Guangzhou resident who
has a rather critical taste for the tea he drinks, has in the
past few years narrowed his interest down to Pu'er Tea, which
is grown in Southwest China's Yunnan Province. Even more
enthusiastic than him are the tens of thousands of people in
South China's Guangdong Province who collect Pu'er tea, seeing
it as an investment, something that will appreciate in value.
