The World Tea News (WTN) is the online digital publication of World Tea Media. WTN was launched in 2005 as a simple aggregate newsletter by the producers of the World Tea Expo. In 2008, based on the growth of the industry, an in-house editorial team was assembled and the website was launched. In 2010, after reassessing the needs of the industry and the focus of WTN, the site was taken down and re-tooled under the leadership of publishing veteran Dan Bolton. And on March 17, 2011, the WTN website was re-launched and resumed e-news coverage to its 14,000 subscribers.
World Tea News offers information, insights, and business intelligence for the tea trade. Top news is compiled, researched, and posted daily. And much like a typical print publication, each month, retail relevant feature articles are published to the site. The site offers profiles of retailers, tea people, and growers and gardens; an events calendar, community news and information, and the best supplier directory in the industry. Aggregate news is also consolidated from Google and PRNewswire as well as a blog feed from the Association of Tea Bloggers to help keep your pulse on all things tea.
Each week, WTN sends the e-news with linked summaries of top news and new web content. Historically, WTN has had a stellar 30% open rate. The online publication and e-newsletters are read by independent retailers, mass merchants, as well as tea artisans hand-crafting teas and large-scale growers. Over the coming months, more detailed site and e-news metrics will be made available.
There is no relationship between advertising and editorial, and we do not allow advertisers to influence our editorial decisions. All advertising options are based on IAB and standard industry specifications to facilitate ease of use by marketers.
